Photography to me is like time travel. There is something amazing about capturing a moment of time that is now preserved for eternity in the current of life. Photography is not just a snapshot of the past, or the capturing of a moment that will soon become memory, it's a representation of how the one behind the lens sees the world - or wants to see the world. Each photograph doesn't just retell the past, it creates a story with unlimited possibilities. It is the perfect blend of reality and illusion. A photographer can capture, control and manipulate time through their camera, giving the viewer the opportunity to re-live the past or create a new story as they see it.
I live in Wollongong on the South Coast of NSW and photograph people and places that catch my eye. I enjoy photographing my home region but I also love shooting in new and exciting locations, in Australia and around the world. I love teaching people how to use their cameras, and have begun running some local workshops for beginners.
I'm not a stand-around-and-pose photographer. I like to blend into the background and capture small, candid moments that people often miss. I find that these photos capture the true moments of an event.
Please contact me via phone or email if you'd like to chat or grab a coffee :)
